On the 15th July 2006 thanks to RPL’s significant contacts in the entertainment world, a cooperation was established with Italy’s foremost satellite fashion channel TV Moda to organise Malta’s first-ever Malta International Fashion Show on Manoel Island. This extravagant open-air spectacle saw Italy’s best designer clothing worn by some of the world’s most beautiful professional models. Italian celebrity personality Jo Squillo hosted the evening event. The designers were Giorgio Armani, Versace, Valentino, Roberto Cavalli, Gianfranco Ferre’, Salvatore Ferragamo, Laura Biaggiotti, Cerruti, Blumarine and La Perla. It was a true magical evening of class, beauty and sophistication in a magnificent historical setting. The evening was televised numerous times on TV MODA channel. A reportage on this event was also screened on Rai 1, Rete 4 and La 7.
